The bar is color coded to match sailing safety standards (red on the left). And if that’s not intuitive enough, we’ve also used a symbol system to easily provide an indication when the bar is facing the wrong way to the rider. This provides an extra sign to reduce hazardous launches. The bar ends are soft adding an additional safety element. Those that have been hit in the head with their bar will know exactly what we’re talking about. When wrapping the lines around the bad ends, the small bungie cord is stowed into the bar end so that it doesn’t get wrapped in the lines. Once the lines are wrapped around the bar, simply pull the bungie free and lock those lines in. The power lines feed through the bar via a smooth corrosion resistant metal hole. The throw line is coated in a hard plastic to prevent wear on both the lines and your fingers. The safety line is a stretch line, so when the kite power is killed (by pulling the safety release) the kite will not surge. Capping off the bar design are molded in EVA line floats. This solution ensures all bar components have clean lines and refined details. Line lengths on the Dimitri Pro Bar V2 are 20-meters long plus we’ve included 3 meter extensions. The reason we’ve provided line length choice is to dial in riding style and equipment. Riders looking for lightning turning for mega loops will use the 20-meter lines so the kite dips below the rider. It’s also a great choice for the surf or instructing new riders. This overall helps reduce bulk and has less unwanted movement. It’s wrapped in a sheath with a velcro strip on the side so the depower handle can be affixed to it. You’ll never have to deal with your depower handle flopping around ever again. It’s a wonderful detail that makes riding even more Epic. The quick release mechanism has been totally redesigned. It’s smaller in size and is quite easily one of the quickest and most efficient releases on the market. To activate it, simply push the red housing way from your body and the kite will safely flag out on the safety line. When you’re ready to relaunch your kite, pull the safety line in, reset the release until it clicks into the housing and you’re all set. It’s a safe and reliable system that can be easily reset in a second or two. Just above the release housing is the easiest, free moving swivel we’ve ever created. It nearly auto rotates when front lines get crossed. Effortlessly untwist lines by using light pressure to turn the swivel if it doesn’t rotate automatically. This will extend the life of your lines. The bar is color coded to match sailing safety standards (red on the left). And if that’s not intuitive enough, we’ve also used a symbol system to easily provide an indication when the bar is facing the wrong way to the rider. This provides an extra sign to reduce hazardous launches. The bar ends are soft adding an additional safety element. Those that have been hit in the head with their bar will know exactly what we’re talking about. When wrapping the lines around the bad ends, the small bungie cord is stowed into the bar end so that it doesn’t get wrapped in the lines. Once the lines are wrapped around the bar, simply pull the bungie free and lock those lines in. The power lines feed through the bar via a smooth corrosion resistant metal hole. The throw line is coated in a hard plastic to prevent wear on both the lines and your fingers. The safety line is a stretch line, so when the kite power is killed (by pulling the safety release) the kite will not surge. Capping off the bar design are molded in EVA line floats. This solution ensures all bar components have clean lines and refined details. Line lengths on the Dimitri Pro Bar V2 are 20-meters long plus we’ve included 3 meter extensions. The reason we’ve provided line length choice is to dial in riding style and equipment. Riders looking for lightning turning for mega loops will use the 20-meter lines so the kite dips below the rider. It’s also a great choice for the surf or instructing new riders. It’s wrapped in a sheath with a velcro strip on the side so the depower handle can be affixed to it. You’ll never have to deal with your depower handle flopping around ever again. It’s a wonderful detail that makes riding even more Epic. The quick release mechanism has been totally redesigned. It’s smaller in size and is quite easily one of the quickest and most efficient releases on the market. To activate it, simply push the red housing way from your body and the kite will safely flag out on the safety line. When you’re ready to relaunch your kite, pull the safety line in, reset the release until it clicks into the housing and you’re all set. It’s a safe and reliable system that can be easily reset in a second or two. Just above the release housing is the easiest, free moving swivel we’ve ever created. It nearly auto rotates when front lines get crossed. Effortlessly untwist lines by using light pressure to turn the swivel if it doesn’t rotate automatically. This will extend the life of your lines.
